The Sales Operations & Strategy team supports our Sales team to acquire and retain great merchants onto our platform. Team members are passionate individuals who are eager to build relationships across the company and make an impact at Groupon. Comprised of Sales Rep Analytics, Communication and Recognition, Lead Management, Training, and Sales Transformation, Sales Operations & Strategy works closely together to ensure reps and managers have a consistent, informed, and high-energy environment to achieve their sales goals.
We seek an elite sales transformation leader to craft and deploy programs that support hundreds of sales professionals in an ever-evolving landscape. Our dream is to build Groupon into a best-in-class sales organization with lean processes, effective organizational structure, and top notch tooling. As the Director of Sales Transformation, you will be critical to achieving this objective. This will require a deep understanding of existing processes and tools, innovative approaches to maximize value-driven processes for the sales team, and the ability to influence senior leaders across multiple departments. The Director will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of key organizational initiatives, including recommendations and business justification, proper pre-implementation planning & readiness, seamless initiative execution and post completion accountability. Throughout the process, this role will be responsible for ensuring high quality standards are met, risks are identified and mitigated, and key stakeholders receive timely and accurate communications regarding progress.
You will be required to pivot quickly between a constantly changing canvas of details and process-related minutiae, as well as an eagerness to engage in robust “big picture” conversations with senior leaders from sales. This role will manage a team of project managers, but will also need to successfully partner and influence other teams outside of that reporting structure.

You’ll spend time on the following:
Developing strategies and operating plans for sales tooling and efficiency initiatives, including recommendation decks, project plans, analysis, and communication
Motivate and lead a team of project managers to document existing business processes and recommend enhancements to maximize value-driven activities for the sales team
Identify, recruit and indirectly manage a network of stakeholders across multiple functions including Sales, Global Operations, Finance, HR, Product, and Engineering
Create robust program management capabilities, driving clear and consistent expectations and accountability across all stakeholder groups
Evangelize a data-first approach in measuring success: establish reporting and analytics, tracking and monitoring of improvements against key performance metrics
We’re excited about you if you have:
8-10 years sales or service operations management experience with a focus on tooling or organization transformation preferred
4+ years of people management experience required
Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability and confidence to succinctly convey complex information to senior management
Ability to troubleshoot, document and communicate issues
You are a self-starter, fast learner, and adaptive to working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to quickly pivot
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working in cross functional teams
Familiarity with Salesforce, Excel, and process documentation tools (Vizio, Lucid Chart, etc.) required
Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
Advanced knowledge and experience in project management
